St Ives
“I wrote this whilst on a recent holiday with my family in St Ives. This Cornish town has a strong nostalgic pull, being our regular summer destination as a child and source of so many memories. I lifted the main source of lyrical content from a book on the coffee table at the guest house we were staying at. I wrote the tune one afternoon as I gazed out from the bay windows, overlooking Porthmeor beach.”
